Daphnia Delfion'un Ruhunu Yansıtan Koleksiyon: Anadolu'nun Tarihinden İlham

Collection Reflecting the Spirit of Daphnia Delfion: Inspiration from Anatolia's History

As Daphnia Delfion Family, we are a brand born not only out of knitting but also out of a lifestyle, a stance and rediscovered values. While crossing the boundaries of fashion, we adopt sustainability as a philosophy of life, supporting the labour in every stitch of hand knitting, the power of women's employment, the transformation of deadstock yarns into a second chance and slow fashion that reflects the calm flow of time. These principles are our values engraved in our soul. And now, feeling these values in our veins, we embroidered the deep-rooted history of Anatolia into our collections.

History and Colours Embraced by Anatolia: Daphnia Delfion's Inspiration

Anatolia's borders are a magical treasure hidden in time, not in soil. It is a painting adorned with thousands of years of history, the dance of civilisations and cultural mosaic, embroidered with mysterious motifs. It is this magnificent heritage that inspired us to build Daphnia Delfion's "Anatolia Collection". We feel the breathtaking history, colours and patterns of this geography in our souls and reflect them in our collections..

Museology: The Living Witness of History

Museums are living witnesses of history and guardians of cultural heritage. Although these wonderful places are called places where archaeological and historical artefacts are exhibited, they are actually a living reflection of the stories that lie in those artefacts and the evolution of humanity. As the Daphnia Delfion Family, we love to explore and be inspired by the deep history and rich cultural heritage of Anatolia in these marvellous places.

Museum visits have played a critical role in shaping our collections. As artefacts, the products of the work of archaeologists and historians, were examined and understood, we came to better understand how fascinating the past and art are. These museum visits allowed us to see objects from various periods of Anatolia, as well as the motifs and design details of those periods. The exquisite craftsmanship and historical background of these artefacts were a great source of inspiration for the design of our collection.

Archaeology and Motifs: Aesthetics from the Past

Archaeological excavations reveal the stories of history hidden under the soil. The objects found during these excavations shed light on the daily lives and cultural beliefs of the societies that once lived. We have researched this historical and cultural richness by analysing the results of excavations carried out in different regions of Anatolia.

The motifs and patterns revealed by the excavations reflect the aesthetic richness of Anatolia's past. While these motifs form the outlines of our collections, we aimed to present this aesthetic from the past to our women by adapting it to modern fashion. In this way, we have brought the rich cultural heritage of Anatolia to the present day and created artefacts that women can carry these historical traces in their daily lives.

Daphnia Delfion's "Anatolian Collection" combines the history of Anatolia with modern aesthetics, inspired by museology and archaeology. Aesthetic and historical motifs from the past are transformed into living works of art in our collection. While this collection moves forward in the light of history and cultural heritage, it also emphasises the power and elegance of the modern woman, creating an embracing bridge between the past and the future.

With the "Anatolian Collection", we have taken a step towards creating artefacts in line with the style and values of our women by combining the deep-rooted heritage of Anatolia with sustainability and hand knitting. This collection is a heritage in which you can feel the traces of the past and nature in every stitch; it is a modern interpretation of experiences, labour and art.

It is a privilege for us to bring you this long-lasting story in the heart of Anatolia.

With love,
Daphnia Delfion Family
